My little shop has been in existence now for several years.

It sits in the middle of the south block of the courthouse square in

the quaint historic town of Danville, Indiana.

I never thought that I would end up here in Indiana.

I am originally from Michigan and

am a graduate of Michigan State University.

I grew up in a small town called Owosso

which is just outside the capitol city of Lansing.

Owosso is home to the author, James Oliver Curwood.

If you come to visit, you can see the castle he built!

A combination of an airline job and

marrying a wonderful man from Indiana

brought me here to the Indianapolis area.

I was always surrounded by antiques growing up and pieces were handed

down through the generations.  I realize now that not all families were so lucky

to have pieces of the past to cherish.

I feel antiques, especially the primitive antiques speak to us of every day life

~ of a time we never got a chance to experience

but to which there is a need to be connected.

I believe this is what attracts some of us to antiques and collecting old things.

Using old items in a new way is especially appealing to me.

The possibilities are endless.

I really enjoy it when my

customers bring back pictures of what they have done

with the treasures they find in my store.

That is rewarding to me and also provides me with even more great ideas!

Primitives are my main love and the largest part of my collection.

However you will find various other items that just have ‘that certain appeal’.

I usually have a few collectibles throughout the shop

like McCoy cookie jars and a few advertising pieces.

There is also some garden decor as well!!

My inventory is continually changing as I attend various auctions and estate sales.
